RCMP Seek Public Assistance in CRA Scams

October 24, 2016

As many of you may have already heard the stories, there are callers pretending to be from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)  targeting individuals in order to defraud them of money. These callers will use scare tactics, intimidation, time pressures and even threaten jail or deportation. The CRA does not conduct business in this way.  If you are unsure of your status with CRA, you can call them, they will be happy to help you. Do not give out personal information to anyone who calls YOU and Do Not Send Money in any form.

If you or anyone you know is called by one of these fraudsters, please contact RCMP at 780-830-5701.

The RCMP have made arrests in India and are seeking the public’s assistance if the real identity of any fraudsters are known to you. Please read the full article published on the RCMP site.
